Microsoft is currently investigating a Microsoft 365 outage that is disrupting Microsoft Teams users, particularly affecting call functionality. Customers are reporting call failures, authentication issues, and connectivity problems across multiple services.
Microsoft Teams Call Failures and User Reports
The outage monitoring service Downdetector has registered hundreds of reports since the incident began over an hour ago. Many affected users report experiencing authentication problems, preventing them from accessing key Microsoft 365 services.
According to Microsoft’s official Microsoft 365 admin center, the issue is identified as TM1022107, with the company stating:
“Users may not be able to receive calls placed through Microsoft Teams-provisioned auto attendants and call queues. We are analyzing service telemetry and call metadata to understand the nature of the impact and determine our next steps.”
Extent of the Microsoft 365 Outage
While Microsoft has not yet provided details on the affected regions, users are reporting a broader impact beyond Teams. According to complaints on social media and support forums, services such as Outlook, OneDrive, and Exchange Online are also experiencing connectivity issues.
“It affects multiple services, including Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Bing, and more. So, it’s bigger than just Teams,” one user reported.
Another affected customer stated:
“Can only access Outlook and Teams via mobile. My 365 emails won’t load on Apple’s native mail app.”
Impact on Canadian Users and Recent Service Disruptions
On its Service Health Status Page, Microsoft has acknowledged that customers in Canada are experiencing authentication and connectivity problems when trying to access multiple Microsoft 365 services, including:
-
Exchange Online
-
Microsoft Teams

Microsoft 365 Admin Center
This outage follows a separate incident over the weekend, where Microsoft addressed another Microsoft 365 disruption that impacted Outlook, Exchange Online authentication, Teams, and Power Platform functionality. The root cause was identified as a coding issue in a recent update to the Microsoft 365 authentication system.
Additionally, on Monday, Exchange Online users continued to experience issues accessing their calendars and emails via the iOS native mail app.
Past Microsoft 365 Service Issues and Fixes
Last week, Microsoft resolved another issue caused by a DNS change that led to authentication failures for customers using Seamless SSO and Microsoft Entra Connect Sync.
Microsoft has since deployed a fix, stating:
“We’ve identified a recent change that inadvertently caused impact to auto attendant and call queues. We’ve deployed a fix to restore service.”
Following an extended period of monitoring, Microsoft confirmed that services have successfully recovered.
